It was inevitable that someone would try to circumvent the donation requirement by posting in the wrong forum. So here's two things:
1. If you haven't donated, you are limited to searching the fora and reading the NeoWiki. You cannot post in the support fora unless you make a sufficient donation.
2. If you post support requests in the server outages and problems forum, they will be ignored and most likely erased (I am not erasing this one because it is the first).
All of this is not because we are unfriendly, but because the free support was overwhelming Patrick and Fran, and their time is much better spent developing NeoOffice. So please do not try the moderators' patience.
Good luck in figuring out what is troubling your NeoOffice,

I've thought carefully about this, and decided to lock this thread, because I don't think anyone can add much to what Oscar has already said. You appear to be posting from the UK, so I'd encourage you to think about dipping into your pocket for the £15 you would need to post on the support thread for the next year. IMO NeoOffice does a great job, and the support is very good.
You might find that a bit of searching and browsing will help you find your answers and there are plenty of free resources available to help you. You can search or browse the forums here, download the User Guide (link on left), or browse the Wiki (link on left again). Some issues are common to NeoOffice and OpenOffice.org so you might try browsing OpenOffice.org resources as well.
With Oscar I wish you good luck in figuring out what is troubling your NeoOffice.

Thank you Oscar and James for handling this post. I had been expecting someone would post a support request in this forum in the hopes getting free support and I think both of you handled it in a logical manner. I expect we will see posts like this occasionally and I will reuse your approach for those.
The only thing that I can add to Oscar's post is that we have some suggested methods for searching for answers to problems on the NeoOffice Support page.
I think locking is appropriate as it leaving the post in this forum will hopefully discourage similar posts. If they link their donations by filling out their Donation Preferences, we can always unlock it later (or the user can post a new post in the NeoOffice Support forum).
