Posted: Thu Jan 07, 2010 1:27 pm Post subject: NeoOffice hangs temporarily after converting to pdf
After converting complex text files (containing tables, columns and graphics) into pdf files, NeoOffice no longer responds. However, the NeoOffice window may still be minimised by clicking on the yellow dot, and once it is returned to the desktop again NeoOffice responds normally. Because it never entirely crashes, there is no error log, and the problem is more of a nuisance than a real problem.
Can you answer the following questions? This will help us troubleshoot what is happening:
1. When you select the Help :: About NeoOffice menu, what version and patch is displayed? If your NeoOffice installation is up to date, it should match one of the following versions exactly. If it does not match exactly, tell us what is displayed and we will tell you what you need to do to update your installation:
2. When you select the Apple :: About This Mac menu, what Mac OS X version is displayed?
3. If your installation exactly matches one of the versions, can you collect a sample of the NeoOffice application once it hangs using the steps in this NeoWiki article? This should tell us where in the NeoOffice code the hang is occurring.
