Thank you for the crash log. I have uploaded a new test patch for you to try. In this test patch, I recompiled a small portion of the code in debug mode under the theory that a compiler bug is mangling our code and causing the crashing.

Can you install it and tell us if the crashing reoccurs?:

Yes. But feel free to turn off Quick Look support if NeoOffice crashes so that you can continue working.

It won't crash. I've tried to speed the test up by repeatedly paste a page of text into different locations in document and save after every paste. Before that about 10 save operations with random typing. Alltogether about 30 save operations. No crash.

That is very good news. Later today I will upload a test patch for NeoOffice 3.0.2 that has the same fix. Hopefully the fix in the NeoOffice 3.1.1 Beta test patch that your using holds. But if it does eventually crash, please don't hesitate to tell us.

FYI. I have backported the fix into the NeoOffice 3.0.2 code and I have uploaded the test patch. If you have NeoOffice 3.0.2 still on your machine, can you install the test patch and see if it stops the crashing when in NeoOffice 3.0.2 when Quick Look is turned off?:

Intel:

PowerPC:

Also, just for completeness, I reuploaded the following NeoOffice 3.1.1 Beta test patches with the fix for anyone else who wants to test the test patch:

FYI. The fix has been included in NeoOffice 3.0.2 Patch 4 and NeoOffice 3.1.1.

The patch can be downloaded from the NeoOffice patch download page.

NeoOffice 3.1.1 is currently available for Early Access program members and can be downloaded from the NeoOffice Early Access Program download page.
