It's possible that the templates are still in the old NeoOffice preferences folder; you'd just need to move them to the current folder (and then re-set them as default inside NeoOffice); see Recovering Settings from Old or Corrupt Preferences for info about the old preferences folders, particularly the first section about manually importing, since the OOo 3 prefs migrator is apparently quite useless.

To add onto the steps that Smokey posted, you might want to check if your old template file is in the following folder. This folder is where NeoOffice 2.2.x versions stored your template files:

~/Library/Preferences/NeoOffice-2.x/user/template

If you find it there, then you can skip Smokey's steps and use the steps in the Editing Default Styles and Using Templates NeoWiki article that Lorinda posted a reference to.

Ahaa! Just checked ~/Library/Preferences/NeoOffice-3.0/user/template and it's empty. Oh goodie - I get to start over again Sad

When I migrated to Mac Pro & 10.6.2 I removed the old NO preferences folder. Upgrading to 10.6.3 introduced some errors I can't fix so I'm writing all my preferences of all my added software to a text file on my external drive And printing it, including bookmarks too. Then I'll zero-data my internal drives and re-install 10.6.2.

I'm going to kinda busy for a month or so.

It may not help, but Mac OS X 10.6.4 was released by Apple very recently so it might be worth the effort for you to run System Update and see if 10.6.4 works better before going back to 10.6.2.
