|
I believe I have found a bug in NeoOffice 3.1.1, including patch 1. When embedding a color Drawing in a Writer document the printed form of the document loses the color information. Reverting to NeoOffice 3.0.2 fixes this problem.
The attached files illustrate: a test file and two PDF's generated from the print dialog. The test file has a color embedded Drawing and the two PDF's show the output from 3.0.2 Patch 5 and 3.1.1 Patch 1, respectively. As far as I can tell all patch levels of 3.0.2 work correctly and no version of 3.1.1 does.
Problem exhibits itself on both Mac OS 10.5.8 (MacPro 3,1) and Mac OS 10.6.4 (MacBook6,1).
Thanks,
Geoff |

I can reproduce this bug so I have created bug 3617 to track this bug.
I will investigate this bug and when I am able to find cause of the bug and fix it, I will post a test patch for you to try.
I will post again when I have more news to report.

Thanks, Patrick.
3.0.2 will work fine for the time being.

Tested only the Intel version on 10.6.4 on MacBook6,1.
Note: URL was http://joe.neooffice.org/test/NeoOffice-3.1.1-Patch-1-Test-11-Intel.dmg, but enclosed package file was NeoOffice-3.1.1-Patch-1-Test-13-Intel.pkg
I presume I should roll back to 3.0.2 patch 5 until the fix is rolled into an official patch with a full regression test.
Thanks,
Geoff |

Correct. After I posted the test patch with the fix for your bug, I posted another test patch that includes small enhancement for printing in "brochure" mode for another user to test. To ensure that everyone is downloading the latest test patch, I redirect old test patches to the latest. In your case, a request for test patch 11 redirects to the lastest, test patch 13.

I would encourage you to keep using NeoOffice 3.1.1 with the test patch installed as code in the test patch that you have is what will be put in the next official patch at the end of this month.
Essentially, you and I are probably the only people that will have tested my fix so the more that you use the test patch, the surer we all will be that the bug is truly fixed and has no unintended side effects.

Thanks, Patrick.
I will continue to use the 3.1.1 patch. If I have any problems I'll let you know.

FYI. I have included the fix in NeoOffice 3.1.1 Patch 2. The patch can be downloaded from the NeoOffice patch download page.
