Happy new year to everyone! I haven't seen any fun rants here for a while, so I thought I would link to a rant that should make some of the NeoOffice old-timers smile, considering all the blood, sweat and tears that has gone into make NeoOffice a 'real' Mac app.

Read the F**king HIG (not safe for work!)

While I got a few laughs from the author's writing style, what I thought was ironic was that the author doesn't follow the punctuation and capitalization standards for the English language.

I hate to rant about grammar, but you would think that a critic of conformance to someone's guidelines would recognize that there are some longstanding and generally accepted standards for the English written language that is followed by, oh I don't know, at least 300 or 400 million people in the world. But no, the author invents their own because capital letters and punctuation marks don't look pleasing to the eye? I'm just saying... Wink

I noticed that too. I like to think that the author was so paralysed with rage that he was barely able to mash the keyboard. Laughing
