I guess I'm missing something obvious here...?
I have two Calc sheets open, and want one to Autoinput but the other NOT to Autoinput. But ticking or unticking Autoinput in one sheet also alters the setting in the other.
This also appears to be the case with some other choices, but not others, in a way I can't get to grips with. [A colleague found the same (in OO - he's on 'doze) with "a really useful short-cut to the return key but had to abandon it because it was implemented in all the rest".]
Settings that affect key entry behavior such as autoinput, autocorrect, spellchecking, etc. are all global settings in NeoOffice and its underlying OpenOffice.org code.
As for other settings, the rule of thumb is that the only settings that are not global are settings that can be saved in both the OpenOffice.org file format as well as its matching Microsoft Office format. For example, if Microsoft Excel's file format did not have any place to save a setting, it will likely be a global setting.
