While accidentally dragging a PDF file onto NeoOffice's Dock icon, I found a crash in NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org's PDF import code.

To reproduce the bug, I opened http://www.lipsum.com/ in a browser, copied the entire webpage into an empty NeoOffice document, printed the NeoOffice document to a PDF file, and then dragged the PDF file onto the NeoOffice Dock icon.

Can anyone install either of the following test patches and tell us if they still see any crashing when opening PDF files in NeoOffice?:

NeoOffice 3.3:

NeoOffice 2013:

I took my usual 160-page test document (you've had various iterations of it) and dropped the PDF on it.

No crashes or problems resulted, except that the document came out in portrait mode, and draw put it all into slide-shaped pages. But that is probably a feature of the underlying OOo.

I can confirm that the OOo PDF import feature is definitely quite limited in comparison to Adobe Acrobat.

FYI. I have included the fix for this bug in NeoOffice 3.3 Patch 10. The patch can be downloaded from the NeoOffice patch download page.
