Since Mac App Store versions of NeoOffice cannot use Java, dBase is the default database type when creating a new .odb file. dBase database tables do not support primary keys so while testing a workaround - create a unique index for a table - I found that NeoOffice will crash when you try to enter duplicate data in a table.
I have fixed this bug by backporting OpenOffice 4.1.1's dBase database connectivity code. You can get the fix by installing one of the following test patches.
Note: since dBase databases have limited features, if you need a full featured database we recommend that you use a database with an ODBC driver such as MySQL.
