I'm new to NeoOffice and Mac. Trying to find acceptable replacement for Windows Office that we use at work.
I do many documents that require "pleading paper" which is line numbering down the left hand margin. On documents that have been drafted in Word, when I open or print them in Neo Office the "line numbering" that is supposed to be applied only to the BODY of the document, also gets applied to the FOOTER of the document.
This is a problem for me working and printing at home. The problem does not seem to carry over if I take the document back onto a Windows machine. I would like to find a solution or good work around to this for printing at home.
Thanks. |

First thoughts (while hoping my memory serves me well):
The standard Footer text style is based on Default and Body Text. If you have activated line numbering on either of these styles, it would be inherited in Footer also. So you will need to adjust the Footer style to not include the option to have its paragraphs included in line numbering.
Info about modifying text styles can be found in the NeoWiki (use link in left menu on this page). _________________ Ray Saunders

Welcome to NeoOffice mwp98223,
This was the subject of much discussion on the forums a short time ago.
SEARCHing Trinity Forums finds two other messages about "Pleading Papers": Numbered Pleading Paper #1 and Numbered Pleading Paper #2.
Be sure to check these threads out and see if they provide additional help.
Searching the Trinity Forums, and the NeoWiki , will provide you a wealth of information.
Hope that you find NeoOffice as valuable as many others have!

Maybe can we write a neowiki article or a "stub" page with this?
Only a suggestion!
Thanks |

Thanks | There is a LOT of coverage of this in the Wiki Editing Default Styles and Using Templates under
Documentation and tips on using styles
* OOoAuthors Intro to Styles
* Detailed post walking through the creation of a pleading paper template
perhaps we can add the other fora link.
There is a LOT of information, just needs central place to link it all to?
