I just installed NeoOffice/J1.1 Release Candidate and the 1.1 Patch-0. Should I be upgrading to this 1.1.2 version that I see mentioned on the forum? I don't see that when I go to upgrades link. Thanks all. |

Woopit:
NeoOffice/J version 1.1 is based on OpenOffice 1.1.4. Unless you are experiencing difficulties using NeoOffice/J, I would advise against installing OpenOffice 1.1.2 as you will loose the MacOSX specific functionalities build into NeoOffice/J.

Moved to the Neo/J Support forum because it's a Neo/J question...
There's a lot of talk on the forum right now (specifically down in Neo/J Testing) about a "Performance Test Patch 1.2", which is for Neo/J--but only if you like beta-testing software (which is why it's not present on the Patch page).

Just to emphasise what Smokey said - DO NOT install the Performance Test patch if you need a stable and fully functional version of NOJ. The final NOJ 1.1 with patch 0 installed is the current stable version.
The performance patch is to test a significant upgrade to NOJ's underlying code and is for those of us who don't mind experiencing issues with NOJ so as to assist the developers in the identification and squashing of bugs that have arisen because of the test patch. If you are willing to suffer issues with NOJ and want to help identify bugs, then by all means please try out the performance patch and get yourself signed up to the Neo Bugzilla - the more hands doing different things with the test software, the better. _________________ PBG4, 1.5GHz, SuperDrive, 1GB RAM, 128MB VRAM, 5400rpm 80GB HD, MacOS X 10.4.5
