In a table I've managed to get rid of the space above and below the text in a few rows, so that there is virtually no spacing between the text of two rows. Now that I would like to do that to other rows, naturally I cannot find for the life of me how I did this in the first place. Any ideas?
If I understand correctly what it is you mean, there are two places where the gap between text in rows might be altered:
i) Format-Table... and then click on the Borders tab - there on the right is the option to set Spacing to contents which is 1mm by default all round, but can be reduced to 0 (though this can look daft/ugly if you've got borders showing)
ii) Format-Paragraph... in the middle is the option to set Spacing below paragraph - which for some reason defaults to 2.1mm (which double-spaces paragraphs in the cell, dammit, but also puts a space below the last one in the cell)
Fiddling with these settings should get you what you're after, I hope.
