Ok, so I saw this:

http://macslash.org/article.pl?sid=03/11/26/2231250&mode=thread

someone posts an article about OO.o and why YOU should use it...

but here is the interesting part: (from the arctile itself)

Quote:
5. What operating system platforms does OOo work on?

Almost all of them! Windows (from the oldest Win95 to the newest), Linux (OpenOffice usually comes preinstalled), and Mac OSX (using either X11 or Java versions).

seems that Neo/J is geting some notice after all...

I wrote that article! It was based on numerous questions and discussions we had at the OOo booth at Comdex. The article was published on osViews.com, madpenguin.org and pclinuxonline.com. MacSlash and MacBytes linked to it. You should have seen the spike in hits my website received after publication! (www.solidoffice.com)

Many people were surprised to learn of the Java version, both from that article and at Comdex. I hope I did not put anyone in the spotlight who wasn't yet ready for it, but one person from Germany emailed me asking how to participate in the OSX development of OOo - I sent him to this website, so hopefully he'll be here soon.

good article. =)

yes, i think they refer to that as being slash-dotted... though i suspect the spike is much smaller from macslash.

I did see Neo/J meantioned in the comments of a /. article some time ago.
