OpenOffice.org has already been ported to Linux

NeoOffice is just the MacOSX port of OO.o

In theory NeoOffice should be able to compile under Linux, but all of the stuff that makes NeoOffice "different" (aside from its pure GPL license) is currently MacOS X specific. It'd be identical to OpenOffice.org under Linux. You may be more satisfied grabbing OpenOffice.org 1.1 and trying to compile it with all of the Ximian 1.1 GNOME patches

Yeah get yourself a copy of OOo build from here http://ooo.ximian.com/ It's not just Ximian of course our very own Dan Williams at Red Hat and the Debian guys all contribute to the 'unofficial' patchset. |
