Ok, hi all
My home is in '/Volumes/Datum' and I changed it in 'Volumes/Datum/.sversionrc', so now it looks like this:
Code: |
[Versions]
OpenOffice.org
1.0.3=file:///Volumes/Datum/Library/Preferences/OpenOffice.org1.0.3
|
But, when I launch Start OpenOffice.org it starts Apple X11 (Beta3) and then I've got a window telling me:
(in italian)
"Impossibile avviare l'applicazione.
Il file di configurazione principale "/Volumes/Datum/.sversionrc" non supporta questa versione.
Volete avviare il programma di setup per verificare l'installazione?"
that is (in english)
"Impossible to start application.
Config file "Volumes/Datum/.sversionrc" doesn't support this version.
Would you like to start setup to verify installation?"
What can I do?
Thanks, Thomas |

Is the "OpenOffice.org 1.0.3=..." all on a single line of the file? I'm unsure if it's just line breaking in my browser, but it does need to be all on the same line.
Also, did you install OOo 1.0.3, or one of the earlier versions? You should have an "/Applications/OpenOffice.org1.0.3" directory if you have the latest version and put it into the default install location.

nice to know that's all it was I added a relevant edit to the home directory not under /Users thread to make it a bit clearer...going back and looking over it I did find that it line-breaked in my browser, but I'm unsure if that's due to rendering or a line-wrap from the text edit field on entry. I'll have to work on the stylesheets to make sure there's no premature line breaking in "code" tags.
