Why not just install that OpenOffice.org extension? NeoOffice supports OpenOffice.org extensions. You only need to install the extension by selecting the Tools :: Extension Manager menu and, in the dialog that appears, press the Add button.

FYI. I downloaded that extension and the problem is that the developer of the extension has set OpenOffice.org 2.3.1 as the minimum version that is required to install it on.
Since NeoOffice 2.2.3 is based on OpenOffice.org 2.2.1, the developer's restriction will prevent installation. You may want to ask the developer if they can support OpenOffice.org 2.2.1. Otherwise, you will need to wait until NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access is released this summer.

One more piece of data that you can pass on to the developer of that extension is that setting the minimum OpenOffice.org version to "2.2" instead of "2.3" allows it to install in NeoOffice just fine. Whether it fully works in OOo 2.2.1 code or not I do not know.
