I formatted a column of cells in a spreadsheet as dates, with the format string YYYYMMDD. This is a format that's standard in my company, and I find it convenient. When I enter a date in one of these cells in that format, for example 20080405, NeoOffice interprets it completely incorrectly. I have to enter the date in a different format, for example "april 5 2008" to get NeoOffice to interpret the date correctly. It has no problem displaying the date in the format I specified.

It would be convenient if NeoOffice would use the date format I have specified for a cell to interpret the date I enter.
