Is it possible to open an emailed .pps file using NeoOffice?If so what are the steps? |

not sure what a .pps file is - my stupidity.
But control click or right click the file and try to 'open with' NeoOffice. or see what other options you have.
or you can stipulate that it opens with Neo.
sorry if you already know that or already tried that - Just trying to help you out. |

.pps is a PowerPoint Show document (a .ppt file that auto-plays when opened in PowerPoint). NeoOffice can open them just fine (though they won't auto-play; you'll have to press play yourself).
If the file doesn't have a NeoOffice icon right now, you can use K-9's steps to make NeoOffice open it (or drag the file to the NeoOffice icon, etc.).

I don't have one to check, but maybe someone could check if NeoOffice registers itself as an application that can handle .pps. If not, maybe it could become one in the base installation?

NeoOffice does register itself for .pps. However, like with .ppt and .pptx files, NeoOffice does not register itself as the default application.
