As of OO3, Voiceover (Mac os Screen reader) is being supported. When Neooffice moves to OO3 will it inherit this support? What about further enhancements added that may not exist in OO3?
I would love to donate, but I would be more inclined to do so if this support were part of the migration to OO3.
IIRC, the issue with VoiceOver and NeoOffice was not a native Mac issue, but was that OpenOffice.org's pre-3.0 Writer code send text change events that confused Mac OS X's accessibility handlers.
If that is what OpenOffice.org fixed, then NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access should have it as well. However, since it is too early to verify if it works in NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access (the release date is not until 15 January 2008), I cannot tell you at this time whether or not it will work in NeoOffice.
