I found one case where I can reproduce this: open 2 documents and open the Find dialog in one of the documents. Switch to the other document and then back again. Dragging from another application into the Find dialog will no longer work.
Let me know if you are seeing it in any different cases. In the meantime I will look for the cause of this issue.

I generally have only one doc open for the Calc Drag failure--you know the one as I sit by the TV and enter new recordings--sometime to see them.
The Find drag problems I have, have always been FROM the Find dialog and not TO it. I can only suspect they both would happen if focus and thus the forwarding of the interaction were not correct.
Of course, now I can't reproduce the drag fail (so easy sometimes) to test whether tabbing or cmd+xx would move the highlight as a different way to test focus.

Sorry Patrick for this. Give it minimal consideration unless you think otherwise.
I closed MacBook and took away, on return NO was not running.
Last Crash report is from prior noon. This ends near opening time. Don't know what happened.
Is this Java from you or from Sony, possibly? Still haven't rebooted after removing prefs.
Wish they supplied uninstallers for Sony and elgato. Will reboot.
These are the Console last lines after re-opening NO.

The above messages that I have quoted are NeoOffice messages. Don't worry, these 3 messages are normal and occur each time you launch NeoOffice on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Basically, these are messages from Apple's Java code when Java is first loaded within NeoOffice. They are not error messages but are merely overly verbose status messages.

FYI. The fixes for the Calc crashing and the disabling of drag and drop in the Find dialog bugs have been included in NeoOffice 3.1.2 Patch 5 and NeoOffice 3.2 Beta.
