All characters display without a hitch within NeoOffice 3.2.1 but when output to a PDF file and opened with preview or Acrobat Pro nothing shows but underlines.

I installed http://joe.neooffice.org/test/NeoOffice-3.2.1-Patch-0-Test-4-Intel.dmg to see whether it made a difference to the output file, but it did not.

The attached document file contains a sample document that exhibits this behaviour. It also includes two PDF files. The -no PDF is exported using Neo Office with the above-mentioned patch. The -oo PDF was exported using Open Office 3.2.1 build 9502.

Your timing is good as I just found this bug on Mac OS X 10.7.1 Lion while testing for this vertical text bug.

This export to PDF bug only appears to only occur on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion and I isolated the cause of the bug earlier today. When I have a fix (hopefully in the next 24 to 48 hours), I will post a test patch for you to try.

I think that I have fixed this bug. Can you install the following test patch and tell us if the bug is fixed for you?

Thanks. On the system described in the original message, after installation of the test 6 patch the PDF files exported from Neo Office do contain text as expected.

FYI. I have included the fix for this bug in NeoOffice 3.2.1 Patch 1. You can download the patch from the NeoOffice 3.2.1 patch download page.
