From your name, I assume that you are using a Swedish keyboard. So I opened Neo/J with a blank Writer document, set my keyboard to Swedish, and typed Shift-2. For me, a " appears as expected.
Can you tell me what is different (keyboard, document type, etc.) in your situation?

Hi Patrick!
Your almost right! I´m using a norwegian keyboard layout. Can´t figure out why this happens. I´m doing everything just the way I allways have... Opening NoeOffice and just typing away... All the other carracters display as they should, e.g. !#$%&/()=? just not shift+3 witch should be " but is now <<. However, this didn´t seem to happen befor I installed patch 4. Is there a way to revert back to patch 3?

"Patch-4" is not the source of your problem as I just tested with "Patch-4" and with a Norwegian keyboard, Shift-2 properly displays a " character.
It is possible that your Neo/J user preferences are corrupted. To test if that is the case, quit Neo/J, rename your ~/Library/NeoOfficeJ-1.1/user folder, and then restart Neo/J.
The above steps will recreate your user preferences with default settings.

Might be worth checking that you don't have an accidental odd replace quote setting activated in Tools>Autoformat/Autocorrect>Custom Quotes? |

Hi again!
I´ve found out what was bugging me! It was auto correct!
Quote: | AutoCorrect has been activated
Double quotation marks (") have been replaced
Your text was corrected by Autocorrect so that double quotation marks were replaced by typographical quotation marks.
Turning Off AutoFormat and AutoCorrect
To access this command...
Choose Tools - AutoCorrect/AutoFormat - Custom Quotes tab
|
I can´t see why it would correct the " thogh... I´ve never realised that NeoOffice had an auto correct function... I´ve never even turned it on! Oh well, thanks for your help thogh! And for the fast reply!!
