As a write a few days ago I download my OOo1.9.128 version from here http://ftp.stardiv.de/pub/OpenOffice.org/contrib/MacOSX
and it goes very well.
Yesterday I also download the italian langpack for linux platform from here http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/680m128/
Than I extract the file and obtain 3 *rpm files and I extraced them too. I obtain a directory /opt/openoffice.org1.9.128 with all files for localization. I copied content of this "italian" directory of openoffice.org1.9.128 to /Applications/openoffice.org1.9.128 and then when I opened OOo2 everything apper to be in italian (see http://xoomer.virgilio.it/valterballantini/OOo_files/OOo2it.png for a screenshot).

That's a good tip! People periodically ask how to use OOo/X11 in their native language instead of the one or three localizations that the X11 builders build, and now there's an answer. Thanks!
