|
All:
I am proud to say that the 2.0.2 rc 4 dated 2006/04/06 from good-day.net in English-US passed QA. There are two outstanding issues, and they have open/valid issue numbers.
For folks willing to test/evaluate other languages, the appropriate IZ is 62765 for updates. Please read this IZ BEFORE testing.
Thank you.

I finished all of the smoketests for en_US. If you plan on testing a different language, I would suggest looking through the Smoketest page at qa.openoffice.org. There are about 130 tests that should be run through. I had a complaint with the German version not working for those tests that create templates (Letter, Fax, Agenda, Spreadsheet Wizard functionalities.)

It seems to be, if I read the porting list accurately. Though there was a last-minute bug.. I trust this latest version already fixed this. I get digests from porting, so I am always a day behind on my information .
Best wishes,

No, the Fondu code did not make into 2.0.2. It will be, however, in 2.0.3 which is scheduled for the first RC in the middle of next month.
There are issues with Fondu-ness that need to be ironed out and worked into a Child Work Space.

I think so. However, the truth of this should be in the mac@porting.openoffice.org archives.
Right now the released versions are on good-day.net and are dated (this is a correction) 2006/4/8.

i looked through some last night, and i believe that to be the case. i also read eric's english 'how to install' and it was very well done.
has there been a full release since 2.0? or have they all been RC's? |

2.0.1 rc 5 for en_US, fr, de and ja were tested and passed. There exists two outstanding issues: It is not possible to display a Java Applet that is imbedded into a html document. The second issue is that Thunderbird/Mozilla Mail CANNOT be directly called to send out a document as an attachment. However, Mail is called and you can send out a message from there.
Also, a slight annoyance is that No external address books can be called because there is no SDBC drivers for them for MacOSX. If this is not true, I would like to be corrected. They do not come included with the associated Mail programs.
2.0.2 rc 4 with the fix for IZ 63030 (2006-4-8 build from Maho) is only passed for en_US. I am waiting on the German and French versions to be tested. I don't know the status for Japanese or any other languages. The issue for MacOSX PPC testing has not been updated since my post for en_US.
