|
I just hooked up a second monitor to my PowerBook for the first time, and discovered a problem with full screen mode (using Alpha 3, Patch 0).
My primary screen is the notebook LCD, and my secondary screen is a CRT located to its left. When switching NeoOffice Writer to full screen mode it always enters full screen mode on the CRT (even if the NeoOffice window is located on the LCD before switching modes).
I would have expected full screen mode to fill whatever screen NeoOffice is on at the time, but it always takes over the CRT...
This is the only problem I've found -- NeoOffice is EXCELLENT quality for an alpha release and I'm using it daily. Well worth the $100 EAP subscription . |

hmm. that is strange. for my dual monitors (just a PowerMac) the full screen presentation always fills the main monitor, despite where the program is... though this is neo 1.2.2, i thought the dual monitor code was the same... |

The code is the same: when going into fullscreen screen mode, the fullscreen window will appear on the main screen.

Wow, you guys are fast . If that's the expected behavior though, I'm getting the exact opposite. My main screen (complete with menubar and dock) is the PowerBook's LCD on the right, while NeoOffice is consistently full-screening to the external CRT on the left.
This behavior is consistent after a restart as well. |

Try installing the test patch listed at the end of bug 1455. That test patch uses a different method to determine which screen is the main screen.

The latest VCL code in CVS does identify the main screen properly on my setup (dual monitor) but has other fullscreen drawing issues that may be the result of something that's unique to my build.

Nope; still having the same problem after applying the test patch. |

After applying Patch 1, this issue appears to be resolved -- it is now full-screening to whatever screen NeoOffice was on (which is my expected/preferred behavior).
Thanks!! |
