There is a tram (called T1) which leads from city center to the INSA Campus.
There is also a subway network which has 4 lines. One of these lines (the D) leads from city center to the Vieux Lyon. But these are on opposite sides of the city |

BTW, did you notice on the conference site travel page that you can save up to 45% on flights inside metropolitan France via Air France? I just noticed that tonight. (Are Air France the most expensive flights in France? That'd be just everyone's luck, where 45% ends up being not much savings at all compared to other carriers )
Also, this thread has been sunminked/webminked, so I'd better watch my sometimes-snarky comments lest I convince people I wish others ill

I don't know if Air France are the most expensive, but they're definitely not the cheapest either ... |

Maybe but they are the only ones to provide direct flights from Nantes to Lyon.
RyanAir is present in Nantes but not in Lyon
I'll try to send a mail to Air France... |

Intriguing...thanks for the info on where RyanAir flies. If things go through, I'm hoping to also visit one of my best friends in Estonia and he recommended them as a reasonable airline to talinn

Ryanair is lots of fun: it's like travelling on a coach, because they don't allocate seats, so there's a big scramble for seats when they let folk board - but very cheap to fly with. Beware, there's not a lot of leg room for the tall ones, and they sometimes charge extra for stowed (non-cabin) luggage - read the small print. Tallinn is lovely in summer, go for it...

Enjoy! BTW, I think Eric Bachard is going to go postively green when he sees the NeoOffice logo on all of the conference paraphenalia.. _________________ "What do you think of Western Civilization?"

Well, since we're approved I figured I go ahead and morph the thread into the main "Neo @ OOoCon 2006" thread
Right now Patrick and I are beginning to start thinking about how to organize the "NeoCon" sessions to be held at our table, wherever it'll be. Our present thoughts are leaning towards technical talk (after all, we're developers) and going into various aspects of our design including NMF, NWF, the Java perspective, et. al. Any suggestions?
The drink-a-thon will be totally informal and involve, well, drinking, and perhaps some thespianism...

Let's try to keep the mention of ranting in the ranting forum since, unfortunately, it doesn't help try to define our potential presentation topics
