Crash when saving...

[hi_RAM]

I have problem since this morning NeoOffice crash (or hang) when resaving spreadsheet... (I never had this problem before).

My only change was to double-click on a file to open it and lauch NeoOffice (.xls saved as ods yesterday) I had a finder message (from French) asking do you want to open it for the first time with neooffice...

I lauch NeoOffice (I always do this) then open the file : same problem
idem with files I use every day... crash on save... (the restore at lauching only retore previous state of the file).

If saving a new file no problem...

These two items indicate you have the "Menu Extra" haxie (and the Fruit Menu haxie on top of that) installed. Try removing that haxie first:

Try to open and save file no problem...

Could I move it back ? (I never had crash before with the 2 haxies installed)

The removing of Menu Extra enbaler seems to fix another problem I have with .ods file (and ONLY with ods not sxc :

When saving a file as ods I had a generic icon (white), in open/save dialog files are seen only as "file", and in finder as "Document NeoOffice"

Without the haxies files are saved as "NeoOffice document" with the goog icon.

Should I try to explain that to Unsanity ?

Trying to get that info to Unsanity is probably the best approach. Unfortunately, we can't work around bugs in third-party software, and a number of applications don't work perfectly with the Unsaity haxies The good thing is that they should be able to download Neo and the code too to help them figure it out

You can try. If the crashing reoccurs, then the Menu Extra stuff is the problem.

BTW, are you using NeoOffice 2.0 Alpha 4 or Aqua Beta?
