at least since beta 3 patch 4, until patch 6,
there is a big problem with the new mail merge assistant (or however this is called in English, I am using the German version).
The new assistant does not ask for the target (printer, document, mail) before generating the temp documents. This can lead to memory problems, because when printing it is not really necessary to generate more than one doc and reusing the data structures.
More severe problem: the Standard Printer Dialog selections of the user are used only for the first of the generated docs, all the other temp docs are printed using plain default settings, which can render the whole mail merge feature useless!
Another problem is hard crashing when the selected printer is momentarily not available on the network.
Regards to all developers, I like NeoOffice very much, the Mac world would be poor without it.
