Subject: "Wait" order in Starbasic counting much faster on Intel Mac than PPC Mac
Hi everybody,

I would much appreciate if somebody of you please test the template
you can download from http://www.helge.kraak.info/Hausarbeitsvorlage_mit_Chronologie.odt (direct download)

You'll find two buttons in the toolbar, named "Sicherungskopie
aktivieren" and "Sicherungskopie deaktivieren". When you choose
"Sicherungskopie aktivieren" you'll see a dialog which asks for (from
top to bottom):

- the frequency in minutes in which the template is being backuped in
the same folder of the original document with a time and date stamp
for each backup copy.
- the frequency of automatical email backups of the document (works
completely automatically only with Thunderbird and Windows). The
value entered isn't a time value in minutes. The value entered is the
frequency after which amount of backup copies on the harddisk a email
message shall be generated. For instance if you enter "2" every
second time a backup copy is being saved on the harddisk also an
email is being sent.
- the email address where you want the copies to be sent to.

You can stop the automatic backups by clicking "Sicherungskopie
deaktivieren".

Now to my issue. I had no problems with this template using Neooffice
on my Powerbook G4. Also on Windows it worked fine. With a MacBook
Pro in combination with Neooffice a friend of mine reported that if
he enters for instance 1 minute as backup frequency he gets copies
about every two seconds (!). He has to put in a very high value to
get the actual frequency he wants to have the backups copies.
Unfortunetaly I can't bother him the next weeks with testing on his
MacBook Pro because he is in his final exam for of his law studies so
that I wanted to ask you for help. It would be interesting for me to
know whether this problem occurs at all on your MacBooks or MacBook
Pros and if yes if it only occurs with Neooffice or also with the X11
Openoffice installation on an Intel Mac.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards
Helge
