Hello,
I have been attempting to do something with NeoOffice 2.0 Aq-ß3 (plus patch 7) that was easy and routine with version 1.2.2. Namely, to provide a URL to Writer so that is loads the page directly from the internet. But when using the "Load URL" command, no window allowing provision of A URL is displayed. Instead, a standard Mas OSX "File Open" window appears, so there's no opportunity to provide a URL. I've tried several ways to get NeoOffice 2.0 Aq-ß3 to load pages from the web but none provide a window in which to supply a URL. Loading pages from the web was easy with 1.2.2, so I'm assuming that there is indeed a way to get 2.0-Aq-ß3 to do it, that it's really obvious for those less dim-witted than myself, and once you tell me how to do it, the only reasonable response on my part will be "Duh". I'd be most grateful if you could pretend like this National Help-an-Idiot week and give me a clue. Thanks.
Unfortunately, Sun's OpenOffice.org engineers decided to hide the "open URL" toolbar field in OpenOffice.org 2.0.x. Fortunately, you can force the "open URL" field to display by selecting the View -> Toolbars -> Customize menu, checking the "Load URL" item, and pressing OK.
