|
A recent post about titles (Blue Pill, etc.) reminded me of something I've been meaning to ask. Would it be possible to change "Councilman" to something that's not gender specific? While I'm not as militant about inclusive language as I used to be, it does bother me a bit to be referred to as a "man" when I'm not one. And I'm not the only female Councilman at the moment. |

I wonder if there is a list accessible that shows the thresholds to aspire to? |

Well, there's This list but Ed's had to add more "ranks" since then, and Smokey and Jake now have custom titles. |

Someone's "sheepfun", too.
Others of us just talk too much

Yeah right now it's "councilman" because that was the terminology in The Matrix Reloaded with the introduction of The Council.
After being poked fun at about the neo references I figured why not ride it FWIW trinity was originally named after the trinity atomic test site...it also was the codename of the first real program that I ever wrote (accounting & PO database)...I'm sure there's some historical post on here where I explained that

How about changing it to "A Council Member"??
Or "Member of the Council". |

The sequals do not exist.
There is only one Matrix.
That was the bug in your code. |

And another thing... surely the lowest grade should be "copper top" for forum noobs - we want to help them but we haven't freed their minds yet. |

I see that Jacqueline and I are "men" again. How many posts do we have to make before we can have our rightful gender back?
While we're at it, I'd be interested in a more up-to-date list of all the "levels," if it's not too much trouble.
Lorinda
Edit: for reference once I've "moved on," I wrote this as a "Trainman." |

OK, OK, I get it! So now it's the trainperson... In the Neo fantasyland the character was The Trainman, but hey I too project and think the fantasy can adapt. I wish in retrospect it could morph to produce better movies. What can I say, I'm a geek

"person" doesn't sound too bad, neutral.
I wonder if I'm feeling better? Nevertheless, thanks Ed.
