Is there a way to open documents sent to me with the .docx extension. I am using NeoOffice V 3.1.1 Patch 1 |

You should be able to open most .docx files. They may not look as good in NeoOffice as they would in Microsoft Word, but NeoOffice 3.1.1 usually can extract most of the data and formatting in .docx files.
The simplest way to open a .docx file is to launch NeoOffice 3.1.1 and then drag the .docx file from the Finder or your Desktop onto the NeoOffice icon in the Dock. This action tells NeoOffice to try to open the .docx file.
Does the above steps work for you?

Good to hear the solution worked.
FYI. You can also make all .docx files in NeoOffice when you double-click on them by doing the following steps:
1. In the Finder, Control-click or right-click on a .docx file and in the popup menu that appears, select the Get Info option
2. In the window that appears, expand the "Open with" item, change the application to NeoOffice, and press the Change All button.
