Hi,
I'm sorry, I have to ask a trivial question concerning NeoOffice 3.1.1.
I use it right now at my MacBookPro, Mac OS X 10.5.8 because my iMac is defect and the German Mac Seller is too stupid to repair it within 4 weeks.

Right now I'm missing the feature which substitutes a word for an abbreviation (which I had chosen before). It usually was about the third item within the "Extras" menu.
But now I have there only "grammar", "language", "count the words", and then "numbering chapters" etc. ( If I remembered it right the word count was within the attributes of the dataset, wasn't it?)
Where is the reference list of abbreviations for often used words? For instance I only tpyed "ev" and got "evolution" or "rm" and I got "realism". I don't mean the automatic supplementation of words.

I think that you are looking for the Tools :: AutoCorrect Options menu. It is in the last 4 menu items of the Tools menu. That menu item used to be near the top of the Tools menu but in NeoOffice 3.1.1's underlying OpenOffice.org 3.1.1, Oracle's OpenOffice.org engineers moved the menu near the end.

Once you select the the Tools :: AutoCorrect Options menu, click on the Replace tab to add your custom substitutions.

Hi Patrick,
you're right. I looked for the Tools :: AutoCorrect Options and now I found it.
It not only moved down in the menu list but also has now another tag/name (at least that's what I assume). Thank you.
