I was copying styles from a template I use regularly to a document I was working on. I was selceted to get the dialog. I was using the Command key and drag to move the styles I wanted to the document I was working on. I then brought that document to the front again and attempted to apply a style and NeoOffice crashed silently. I attach the crash log.

I don't understand your steps. What does "selected to get the dialog" mean? Are there specific steps that you follow that I can use to reproduce the crash? If so, can you post them?

Also, your crash log indicates that you have the following system hack on your machine. System hacks inject their code into all running applications and we have found that bugs in some system hacks can cause applications like NeoOffice to hang, crash or otherwise behave incorrectly in unexpected places in the code:

/Library/InputManagers/iCalFix

NeoOffice should not crash, so can you try disabling this system hack, rebooting your machine, and tell us if the crashing still occurs?

If the crashing still occurs, please post a new crash log as it is likely that the location of the crash will change without the system hacks.

To disable this system hack, move the above folder to your Desktop and reboot. You can find the folder by double-clicking on the main volume icon on your desktop and, in the Finder window that appears, navigating down through the Library and InputManagers subfolders.

Ooops! Embarassed Incomplete post... It should have read:

I have removed iCalFix and tried again. I haven't been able to reproduce the crash, but the whole process of dragging styles from one document or template to another seems to be terribly flaky, and/or not at all intuitive. For example, I think I am dragging a style across, but then get a message that I am overwriting a different style. I think I will steer clear of this feature in future.

OK. Since you have not had any crashes since you removed the iCalFix system hack, let's wait and see if you experience the crash again. If you do, then hopefully the next crash log will look different and will give us a clue as to what is causing the crash.
