While testing some fixes for another bug today, I found that Apple has deprecated the UpdateSystemActivity() function. NeoOffice uses this function to block your computer from automatically sleeping during slideshows.

Apple has replacement functions in their IOKit framework so we have reimplemented our sleep blocking code during slideshows. This will help ensure that NeoOffice doesn't crash on launch if Apple removes the UpdateSystemActivity() function in a future version of OS X.

The modified code is in the following test patches. There should be no change in behavior when running slideshows. Like before, if you run a slideshow and leave your machine untouched, it should not go to sleep until after you exit the slideslow:

NeoOffice 3.4.1:

NeoOffice 2013.4:

FYI. I have included the fix for this bug in NeoOffice 3.4.1 Patch 4 which can be downloaded from the NeoOffice patch download page.

I have also included the fix for this bug in NeoOffice 2013.5 which is available in Apple's Mac App Store.
