Posted: Mon Dec 21, 2015 9:27 pm Post subject: Fix for displaying dialogs on low resolution monitors
Some users reported that when using an 800 x 600 or smaller monitor, NeoOffice would cut off the bottom of tall dialogs. This bug would occur when NeoOffice would resize tall dialogs to fit between the OS X Dock and the menubar. Because most dialogs have buttons at the bottom, resizing tall dialogs would hide the dialog's buttons and there would be no way for a user to close the dialog other than to press the Return or Escape keys.
To fix this bug, I have changed the NeoOffice code so that when a dialog is resized to fit between the OS X Dock and the menubar, NeoOffice will no longer cut off the buttons at the bottom of the dialog. This fix allows the bottom of tall dialogs to display behind the OS X Dock or off the bottom of the screen so that the user can press the dialog's buttons by hiding or moving the OS X Dock or by dragging the dialog to another monitor.
You do not need to wait until the next NeoOffice release to get this bug fix. You can get the bug fix now by downloading and installing one of the following test patches:
