While testing NeoOffice in full screen mode, I found the following three bugs:
When opening a document that contains linked images or files while in full screen mode, the "Update links?" dialog would be displayed behind the document that you are opening. Since that dialog stops loading of the document, NeoOffice would appear to be frozen.
When a presentation document is in full screen mode, the document would sometimes not fill the whole screen. This would leave an unused blank space on the screen equal to the size of the OS X Dock.
After running a slideshow in a presentation document that is in full screen mode, the menubar would become hidden on OS X El Capitan. Although this is not a new bug, I have found a way to fix this OS X El Capitan bug while keeping a presentation in full screen mode so that NeoOffice no longer needs to avoid this bug by forcing a presentation document to exit full screen mode when a slideshow ends.
I have fixed these bugs and you do not need to wait until the next NeoOffice release to get the fixes. You can get the fixes now by downloading and installing one of the following test patches:
