I sent a copy of my console with the reply I didn't have grep which is needed to download and install patches.
My latest version of neooffice/J doesn't have a spell check. I have set it to UKEnglish and it has set up the relevant stuff but, spellcheck is still not working Mad Mad

I am going to be blunt: without the "grep" command, spellcheck will not work as grep is used as part of the spellcheck configuration.

Neo/J only supports a standard Mac OS X installation with the BSD support correctly installed. Until you either reinstall BSD support or reinstall Mac OS X, this will not work.

As I don't have a OSX 10.2 disc I may have problems.
I have 10.3 discs which won't install because I have no OS9 which is what it's looking for in addition to 10.2.8. Is There is a way of doing a new istall without loosing all my data?
Alternativley there is an optional install which has the BSD Subsystem.
Going through that system it updates some things but doesn't seem to reinstall BSD?

This is the second time you wrote this and I can't understand what is you problem.
10.3 disks allow install without OS9 installed. I've done it several times. Boot from the CD, be sure to select "archive and install" to keep your personal data.
Are your disk full install set or upgrade set (discounted for late Jaguar customers)?
