|
Pat, Ed and the other torrent fans:
Could I be so bold as to ask that I be allowed to build a torrent for the 1a patch and post it off of Trinity as a test of my proposal of a 16K piece with 4K chunk size? I realize that the patch is not that big, but a new release canidate will be
Also, I will be out of the loop for a while starting Monday, April 11th.
Feedback folks.

All:
The torrent is up and running. I was restricted by Azureus 2.2.0.2 to a 32KB piece size. I hope that I have not overstepped my authority. If I have, please remove the .torrent and accept my apologies in advance.

Yeah, not a problem. Did you use trinity as the tracker when you generated the torrent? If so just e-mail me the torrent and I'll copy it over to trinity's torrent directory.

Ed,
If you are hosting the torrent files, would it be possible for you to add torrents for the language pack files as well? Once you have those and the patch torrent, can you you send me the list of torrent URLs for all of the files to my private e-mail account and I will add those URLs to each of the mirror lists. I will prominently mark those URLs as "BitTorrent" links so that they won't be confused with the HTTP and FTP URLs.

Sent. It is about 1.9 KB in size. Only 73 pieces at 32KB piece size. I had someone leaching off of me yesterday, but I had to disconnect from the Internet. No one has connected since.

Looks like it is not working as Azureus is complaining that it is not getting the hash back when it queries the server. Is the torrent being served by the server?
BTW, it will be some time before I will be able to read any replies to this message as I am getting on several planes for a really long flight.
Thanks.

The tracker URL is actually:
trinity.neooffice.org/tracker/announce.php
(put an http:// in front of that...I'm not putting it in as a URL to avoid webcrawlers from hitting the tracker directly)
That may be why you're getting a server not responding if the tracker URL is incorrect. I'll go upload the torrent and see what's going on. Torrent files are actually independent of the tracker.
Patrick: I'll go ahead and do the torrents for the language packs tonight and e-mail you URLs when I'm through.

Patrick: I sent you an e-mail with these but wanted to post them as well in case others wanted to start seeding (or to at least gauge interest). Below are the torrents for the Neo/J 1.1 RC language packs:
http://trinity.neooffice.org/torrents/NeoOfficeJ-1.1_Release_Candidate-Languages_ar,tr,he.dmg.torrent
http://trinity.neooffice.org/torrents/NeoOfficeJ-1.1_Release_Candidate-Languages_ca,gl,eu,cy.dmg.torrent
http://trinity.neooffice.org/torrents/NeoOfficeJ-1.1_Release_Candidate-Languages_da,sv,fi,et,lt,nb,nn.dmg.torrent
http://trinity.neooffice.org/torrents/NeoOfficeJ-1.1_Release_Candidate-Languages_ns,af,zu,tn.dmg.torrent
http://trinity.neooffice.org/torrents/NeoOfficeJ-1.1_Release_Candidate-Languages_ru,pl,el,hu,cs,sk,sl.dmg.torrent
http://trinity.neooffice.org/torrents/NeoOfficeJ-1.1_Release_Candidate-Languages_th,hi-IN,kn-IN.dmg.torrent
I'm not seeding them now as I'm sick and the medicine is making me veeery sleepy so it's time for me to dream about my hiking for a bit

Thanks Patrick. If you release any patches in the next two weeks, I will not be able to test them as I am not able to access my Mac (I'm not in Southern Arizona either).
Hopefully, I will be able to get back to testing very soon.
