Dear Friends
I found a problem. I have a a Text, a presentation and a drawing documents open simultaneously, to copy-paste chunks of data. When I tried to move between the documents in the window menu, the switching doesn't work and it is faulty, eg, trying to open the text document opened the drawing etc. To select the correct one I was obliged to reselect between all the open documents till the correct one was found. I found finally that minimizing the windows was the more reliable option.

Cheers,

Pedro

Is this different from having all 3 document windows open at one time (different window sizes and/or locations so you can see a piece of them all simutaneously) and the one you click on doesn't come to the front of the screen? If not, is this a possible solution/work around or is this what you are talking about?

No... all windows are maximized and overlap completely. I can not switch otherway other than: window menu or minimize and maximize. In this situation the window menu procedure doesn't work well.

Patrick has posted a test patch to address this particular issue, which appears to resolve the problem. It can be downloaded for testing from:

Please report results of any test in Bug 729 here:

Hi

The patch works very well. I have 5 different documents opened and I can now switch correctly between then using the window menu.

Thanks a lot for the patch, and feedback.
I am glad I helped to improve this very nice free open source project.

I find going to Window menu all the time clumsy and use cmd-~ or expose instead. if there are only two documents open, switching between with cmd-~ is the fastest way. for more expose is great.
