I'm in the middle of moving house and haven't got time to put together a proper wiki entry for this, but see my post with a solution for filling a writer table column with consecutive dates (writer tables don't have their own Fill capability). I reckon this is wiki-worthy, at some point.

When I wrote these pages, I discovered that if you copy/paste (no special paste) a spreadsheet from Calc into Witer, you get a OLE Object.
I suppose it is welll known, but I did not know that
