|
There's a font kerning problem in Impress. Steps to reproduce:- Make new (empty) presentation
- enter "AB,CD" in a textframe
- select "B,CD"
- apply subscript to selection (e.g. command+shift+B)
- click outside textframe
I'm using NeoOffice 3.1.1 patch 2 on Intel OS X 10.6.4. |

Can you install the test patch and tell us if the subscript problem is fixed for you? | I installed the patch but unfortunately it does not fix the problem for me. |

OK. I can reproduce this. For me, the kerning is correct when you have the text frame in edit mode and when I first tried your steps, I did not notice that the subscript characters "crunch together" when I clicked outside of the text frame.
I can reproduce this bug in my Go-oo build but not in OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 so this appears to be a bug in one of the OpenOffice.org code modifications made by Novell's Go-oo engineers.
I will investigate this bug to determine which Go-oo code modification causes this bug. Once I find the code modification and remove it, I will post a test patch for you to try.

I have created bug 3634 to track this issue.

FYI. The fix for this bug has been included in NeoOffice 3.1.2 which can download it from the NeoOffice download page.
